On the other side, Pakistan’s best bowler, Sohail Tanvir, took three wickets.
Pakistan scored a challenging 156/6 in 20 overs, with Shoaib Malik leading the way with 41 runs. This set up an interesting chase for India, who successfully chased down the score with only five wickets remaining. Anureet Singh was India’s standout bowler, taking three wickets, while Vinay Kumar, Pawan Negi, and Irfan Pathan each contributed one wicket.

Rayudu and Mann both fell for 10 runs, but India maintained their momentum with Yusuf Pathan’s scorching 30 off 16 balls before being removed in the penultimate over.
With skipper Yuvraj Singh (15*) and Irfan Pathan (5*) at the crease, India secured the victory to be crowned WCL 2024 champions, much to the delight of their fans.
Pakistan’s bowlers, despite their best efforts, were unable to prevent India’s progress towards the target. Aamer Yamin was the pick of the bowlers, with statistics of 3-0-29-2, followed by Sohail Tanvir and Sohail Khan, who both got one wicket.
